A style that challenges convention

Background

A well-known Swedish furniture brand and historic Landoor client entrusts us with the English to Italian translation and subsequent desktop publishing of the press release for the Italian launch of a new “limited edition” collection. Press releases that describe the collaboration with one of Sweden’s most famous costume designers for what will be the first chapter in a long series of partnerships between designers and a brand synonymous with innovation.

The challenge

The noted designer and fashion activist commissioned to create the furniture of this capsule collection is famed for her undoubtedly bold and uncompromising style. Madonna and Beyoncé are just two of the stars to have entrusted her with the design of the costumes for their shows. Brought in to design an exclusive line for a mass market brand, the designer did not compromise on creativity, developing a very particular collection which blends dark fairytale atmospheres with glamorous and romantic details. From a language perspective, it was therefore necessary to adequately convey the aesthetic features of the collection.

The solution

The translation was entrusted to a resource known for their extensive experience in the field of communications and marketing and their linguistic expertise, as well as their in-depth knowledge of the client, its products and communication needs.

The result

The Italian text and the images of the collection were laid out by the Landoor Desktop Publishing department. The formatted text was reviewed and controlled internally to ensure an impeccable end result and then delivered to the client, who was therefore able to make use of an instrument for the launch and communication of this important collection that met its expectations.
